I have been a part of the WordPress community now for a little over two years. As we approach the year-end, I want to express my sincerest appreciation and gratitude to every one of my followers.

You have helped build this blog, and you have made it more than I ever dreamed. Two years ago I was so excited to have my first follower, and today my little blog has reached 111 followers. I know for many of you this is no big deal. But, for me starting from scratch, doing this totally as a hobby, this is quite exciting. It means that these 111 strangers have come to appreciate, support, and participate in this little endeavor to share my photography as well as my most sincere thoughts and feelings. I want to take just a moment to let you all know how much I appreciate your support and why I love this WordPress community so much.

First, everyone has been so supportive and encouraging from day one. Perhaps, it is because we all share a deep passion for our art. This whole concept of posting my work and thoughts out there for everyone to see and judge was pretty scary, but I now feel a part of something so much bigger. Now I feel so secure in being a part of this wonderful community. Thank you.

Second, I wish that the politeness and courtesy that I see everyday from my WordPress friends could be carried out to our whole word. We so desperately need this. Again, thank you.

Third, you are the hope of our planet. You are the thinkers, the creators, the ones who inspire us to be better and do more. You ask why, and sometimes, “why not”. I said this last year, and I will say it again now. You have literally pulled me up from the depths of despair and shown me what our species can do and can be – comforting, entertaining and inspiring.
