Since we are in mid April – a wonderful time to visit the red rock country in the southwestern US, I thought I would put up one of my favorite desert images.
Spring fever is definitely hitting me hard, especially after the long year of COVID. I am past two weeks out now from my second vaccination (the Pfizer), and well, it’s about time to start living again.
Next week I have a camping trip planned for southern Utah/northern Arizona, so hopefully that will yield some nice photos. But just in case, here is a little taste of that southwestern US color country. In my opinion the best times to go hiking in these areas are about now, or in the fall after the summer heat has passed.
So, I hope you all enjoy this little blast of spring in the red rock deserts. And if you ever get a chance to visit Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada (it’s only about 50 miles or so from Las Vegas), go! It’s an incredible place, and you’ll love it.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog, and feel free to drop a note letting me know what you think of my post.
