Memories of Westport

It has been two years since I was last in Washington, and I miss it terribly. I was talking to a friend who lives in Bellevue, Washington on Friday, and all of those memories of the last time I saw him came flooding back. Here are a couple of pictures I took in Westport back in October of 2018.

This was an interesting little scene I found on the beach in Westport one morning.

This is another closeup on an old log with some barnacles in it. For me it seems to work just about as well in black and white as it does in color. What do you think?

This is the black and white version.

Here is the original color photograph.

This is the original as I saw it when I made my photograph.

Well, this one was tough, but maybe I still prefer my original color just a little. I would love everyone’s feedback.

I guess no Westport post would be complete without at least one shot from the marina.

This is the Westport, Washington commercial marina in October of 2018.

Two years can go by so quickly, but it definitely helps to revisit these photographs and reminisce about those wonderful autumn days in one of my favorite places – Westport, Washington. As you can see, not every October day on the Washington coast is rainy; sometimes the sun is just spectacular.

I hope you enjoyed my trip back in time to Westport, Washington. One of these days, hopefully sooner rather than later, I will return to the Northwest and begin to make new memories.

Wishing everyone happiness and health. For my US followers enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving, but please stay safe and be mindful of this horrible pandemic. For the rest of you, stay safe and keep blogging. We need each other now more than ever. Thank you so much for visiting.
