On the way home from St. George, Utah I saw these rain/snow clouds up ahead, and as I was driving I kept thinking about the image. The shot was in my head; I just needed to take it.
So I found a spot to pull over safely and began composing the shot that had been in my head. This is what I saw. The sky was so spectacular, and these opportunities just don’t come every day. The light was perfect.

After processing my image, I got to thinking that this might look pretty cool in black and white, so I converted the image using an infrared filter. I love it. Please let me know what you think.
The infrared filtering really popped out that contrast in the sky while the cool ground almost looks white.
Well, thanks for taking the time to stop by. I hope you enjoyed my little photo experiment. Drop me a note and let me know what you think. Thanks for letting me share this with you as always.
