I realize this article from Road & Track won’t interest many of you, but for my car followers, this is a piece of history.
In October this year, Porsche is going to discontinue production of their mid-engine Boxster (the roadster/convertible) and it’s hard top coupe sibling, the Cayman.
These cars have been, and are, some of the best sports cars, period. Only a handful of cars today give the pure performance and driving pleasure as Porsche’s mid-engine siblings.
My 2019 Cayman GTS was by far the best performance car I have ever owned. The little beast carved canyon roads like a dream. It was almost as if the car was one with me.
So, I am sharing this Road & Track article to celebrate the best two seat sports cars of our day.

I hope you enjoy this bit of history about Porsche’s mid-engine Boxster.
Have fun out there, and thanks for stopping by my blog.
