Cactus Blooms

Since we are right at the beginning of March, I thought I would post a few shots from a trip I took to St. George, Utah in 2019 in the spring. On my day off there, I visited Snow Canyon State Park, and was lucky to find so many beautiful catci blooming.

This is a cholla (pronounced choya) blossom.
Yucca flowers in full bloom.
These are prickly pear cacti, so named for the pear shaped stalks.
Another shot of the bright yellow cholla flowers.

And finally here is a photo looking northward through Snow Springs Canyon.

I took this in the morning probably around 10 am or so. Everything was so fresh and green from some recent spring rains.

Well, I hope this helps get you in the mood for spring. As I write this post, today is the first day in several that we have seen above freezing temperatures here around my home in Utah. So, needless to say, spring is on my mind.

Thank you for stopping by my blog, and I hope you enjoyed this little post.

Wishing everyone the best!
