I installed a new computer system in my office over the Holidays. As my day job is a financial planner, I run a lot of custom, specialized software. So, much of the normally quiet down time between Christmas and New Year was spent installing software and on the phone with various tech support people. Unfortunately, this wasn’t my ideal Holiday scenario.
With that, I decided to post something that would convey the spirit of the winter season and the New Year. This is one of my personal favorite photos that I took last fall.
That late afternoon winter light is just calming. The tones of the blues seem to soften the soul. The boats are in for the night, and everything is in order. The water is calm, with just a tiny ripple of the tides. The storm has passed; serenity rules.
Hopefully you will find the peace and joy that this photograph brings me. Happy New Year to you all.

Lovely and serene, thank you!
